Weekend Photography Plans: What are you up to?

Get busy! :) ;)

Yes Sir :)

Raid

Ah, I forgot about the hurricanes.
We get strong winds here , I`m only half a mile from the coast myself , but not on that scale.
I must admit I don`t like winds ...too much damage.
Sounds as though you`re going to have a lovely weekend.
My daughter is off to Rome for five days.

I plan on breaking and entering into an abandoned railway viaduct and an abandoned chalk quarry nearby. 35mm, Kodachrome in my M6, Tri-X 400 in my M3, digital for some evil HDR shots. Nice test for my new 15mm Super Wide Heliar I got in the post this morning :)

Hopefully

buying and M9 and using it to photograph a big family get together, then some portraits of my brother and family with the Mamiya 7 and HP5

Maybe...

Michael,
I took three rolls of film at the beach. Yes, it was very relaxing indeed.

Weather is quite dark and rainy where I live. I have a roll of Delta 3200 which I could shoot. First I need a plan what to shoot...

Well.. I changed my mind and went to see a retrospective by Mr. Pentti Sammallahti instead. The master himself was present and gave the huge audience a spirited lecture of his career in black and white photography. What an enjoyable afternoon!

Good for you, Mablo. This sounds very interesting. I do not know Mr. Sammallahti, but I take your word for it that he was good. I used tocorrespond with a girl with last name "Lahti".

Well, I souped a roll of Acros 100 last night, but I have not yet replaced my scanner. This film is very easy to handle, and the negatives look really good.
I made some early morning shots on the FED and FE2. We have chores today, but mostly we are on pins and needles awaiting our first grandson. Our daughter-in-law's due date was Oct. 19, so any day now ...

It is that time of the week again. Weekend photography activities will start soon.
What are you up to?

I desperately need to get out and shoot. I've let the last three weekends wandering around be busts; probably less than 15 frames between them.

I'm thinking about hitting the Seattle Rally To Restore Sanity in the morning, maybe catch some zombies outside zombiecon a bit later. No holiday festivities planned yet, though a few friends are encouraging me to go to a drinking party of sorts Saturday night and to bring a camera. We'll see.

I souped a roll last night, and one tonight. I have two rolls of Arista Premium 400 to go (mostly new grandson shots) to be caught up on developing: one on Saturday night, and one on Sunday. If there is very little breeze tomorrow morning, I plan to shoot confederate rose blossoms (a type of hibiscus, actually) with my FE2, Nikkor 50/1.8 and Ferrania 100, on tripod ...

I need to get inspired to get some good photography done this weekend.
It is getting colder during the nights.
We will have 48F tonight, but it warms up to 77F during the day.

It's raining and raining and still raining in Arles, Camargue.
So my R-D1 stays in his bag, and I'm staying in bed, sleeping more, dreaming, ****ing with Anne, posting old pictures on my Flickr stream, then invite friends to drink very good wine and eat a leg of goat.
I will shoot good pictures next week…

I just shot my penultimate roll of Kodachrome 64 on a car trip out of Dushanbe, Tajikistan to see some spectacular mountain scenery where first snows have started to fall. Beautiful October sunlight. No rangefinder though... my Nikon F6 accompanies me on trips like this. I have to confess I enjoy shooting it more than my M6 ;-)

I got a couple of confederate rose shots with the FE2/Nikkor 50/1.8 kit, and a shot just after sunrise of some flowers in the creek I will call water daisies - vivid yellow petals and black "eyes." Another beautiful fall day today; the FED-2/I-26 will get some exercise, too ...

Well most of yesterday was spent with a few thousand other idiots at the National Mall :)
I think a saw 2 or 3 other Leica's there along with a dozen or so film SLR plus of courses a few thousand DSLRs
Woke up this morning around 4 am and couldn't get back to sleep so took advantage of the time and processed two rolls of LegacyPro 400 from yesterday.

I used a LUMIX digital camera yesterday during one of my daughters' birthday party, but I took photos before and then after the party with the M6 [35 1.4 pre-asph] and Bessa T [Heliar 50mm 2]. I am still waiting for something 'special" to shoot a roll of Kodachrome 25 that I have left. There is no sunshine today.
