Well not actually found but, I bought some old film canisters about a year ago and they where inside. No scanner at the time and sort of forgot about them.
Just think it's neat to look at old photos some guy took back in the late 40's (by the look of it). Just some guy that like to take pictures. Someone like me.
Mostly family type photos. I've picked out some that you may like to see. If your into that sort of thing. Couldn't just toss them without passing them along so to speak. I don't need to keep them. I'm sure it would make me happy if someone did the same with some pictures I took many years ago.
That is it for the BW. Got some color positives that I have to take a look at. Only a few rolls of that. If i get anything more I'll post it here!

There's some awesome shots in there. That last one of the dog is very "Erwitt-esque" in my opinion.
Do you know where they were taken?

Thanks for posting these.
I love the beach shots and the ones focusing on the cars and aircraft. The first bi-plane is a French built SPAD 13 as flown by the United States Air Service in World War 1. Not sure about the second one.
Typical pictures that might not have made it into the family album. A bit like mine I guess :D

Phil- I think they are mostly from Delaware. I saw a few(including that first one)that were from there. Lots look like the east coast so, I'd put my money on Delaware.
 
Those are very cool. Love the photo of the camera shop display, as well as the White House. I presume that was the White House.

For sure, a different time when big city downtowns were still safe and not ruled by moochers and low lifes.

Love that old roller coaster, too. I also would guess this to be the East Coast.
 
The DeSoto is a 1953 and many of the shots are in Washington DC. Blair House is shown (guard in front - it's the president's guest house across from WH) and the neighborhood shots look like the area around the eastern end of Pennsylvania avenue, toward Maryland (the original suburbs), by the stadium. (All these folks left for the MD/VA suburbs in a couple of years.)

The "Truman renovation" of the WH took place these years, ending in 1952, so you might guess by the construction that this is winter of '52-'53; they seem to be finishing up.

The beach is probably Atlantic City, NJ, simply guessing because of the age of the buildings up against the beach. You don't see that anywhere else, except Miami.

The airport and fire truck shots are probably from the New Castle airport (ILG) in DE - the Del Mem. bridge is in the background. The Dupont family has a lot of flyers in their ranks in that area and they've sponsored antique fly-ins for generations; they're likely tied in somehow to the meet.

Longshot: The guy mugging the silly hat and Collier's cover could have been the child himself later? You could trace back to a name by that, perhaps?

The newest automobiles look to be 1952 or 1953, as I remember, so that is likely correct..
