Balda Super Baldax with F2.9 Baltar lens

As an owner of a previous Super Baldax with F3.5 Baldenar lens that I sold due to lack of use.... Well, I regretted selling it and have now acquired another but it has the faster f2.9 Baltar lens. I would assume that this lens is a bit better than the Baldenar, but is it comparable to the f2.8 radionar, and f2.9 Ennit lenses made for this camera? There seem to be quite a few combinations of lenses for this camera marque, but I am a litle confused as to their ranking performance wise....

I would assume it would go something like this in order of lens performance:-

F2.8 Radionar
F2.9 Trinar
F2.9 Ennit
F2.9 Baltar
F3.5 Baldenar

Is this a correct assumption? I do not know of other lens combinations. Anyone in the 'know' on this???
 
I think the 2.8 Ennit is the best lens, in the same category as a Tessar.

The 2.9 Radionar, I think your lens is just a rebadged one, is a very good 3 element made by Schneider. It was designed to give Tessar performance without violating Zeiss' patents prior to WWII.

The 3.5 & 4.5 lenses are all three element lens, most made by Enna. They came with various names.

You can get some idea what the grade of the lens is by the shutter it came in. The Ennit came in a Compur, the Radionar in a Compur or Prontor, the 3.5's in the Prontor, while the 4.5's usually came in a Pronto.

However, as you can see by looking through the RF Folder Picture thread, there is not as much difference in the photos made with the various lenses as most people think. The more expensive lens are a little better wide open is what I mostly see there.

Even that Enna Werke wasn't /aren't one of the highly regarded lens makers, the 2.8 is outstanding and from my prints, I can definitely say that the sharpness is impressing.

My Balda Hapo 66E

Had the Balda Hapo 66E (rebadged baldax uncouple rangefinder) with the Enna Werke lens.

Unbelievably sharp and contrasty. Now have a Balda Baldax with the Enna Werke. Same experience.
