a little more summaron 3.5/3.5 love.

The nicest of the 35mm f/3.5 Summaron is the latest M2 version. It is chrome (not aluminium as the f/2.8) and has the same layout as the Summicron 50 mm f/2 rigid. They pair nicely together.

I agree. I love this little lens. I have two - the screw mount version and the optically identical early bayonet mount one. The latter (which LOOKS nicer on my M8) unfortunately has a little haze but the other is perfect. The result is that the bayonet one produces flare if the sun is any where towards the front. The other oen is virtuous and produces clean images. Plus because it requires a bayonet adapter it actually brings up the right frame lines automatically.

I picked up a seriously dirty damaged Summaron and finally got around to having it serviced. One of the elements was beyond saving, but under the right circumstances, it still makes for an interesting lens.

I just got my Summaron 3,5/3,5 today. It's a LTM version from 1953, a tiny bit hazy inside but otherwise in pristine condition.
Unfortunately I had to work all day long, so I could just do a quick night shot, and it's a littl hazy tonight.
But still I am amazed what this lens can show already at full aperture:
