What have you just BOUGHT?

Fuji Natura ISO 1600 film, which is only available in Japan. I just got an email from my nephew, who is in Tokyo now, and who I asked to purchase this film for me, that he'd bought it. Of course, I won't actually receive it until he returns from Japan next week.

Looking forward to using this color film for low light applications.

Kinda went nuts the other day, but I bought a Nikon F4. Love the idea of shooting manual lenses with matrix metering. Will it make get better exposures?

I've always wanted to try the Natura P&S, but I would have to trade my Yashica/Kyocera/Zeiss T4 zoom in order to justify it, and trouble letting it go.

Along those lines, I just found and Exc condition Yashica T4 Super D Weatherproof @ a thrift store with original box and manual for $5.49.
Boo-Yah!

A Leitz elmarit M 28.2,8 and a think thank retrospect 10. The think tank bag is amazing, it fits an m8 or m6 with lenses and my 11" macbook air. Wonderful combo.

Used Pentax 645 MF with Pentax 100 mm lense, works great but clunky. Also new Fuji X-100, great shooter.

Garage sale find...
Nikon F with Photomic prism...S.#64650xx
For it's age it's in really great shape...finder has some brassing and paint flaking off...it cleaned up real nice...camera was filthy...
The meter will respond to light but is sticky...
It was the body only...and it was $10

The X100 meets my needs for an every-day, carry-it-everywhere camera.

So I traded my former every-day camera, D200, and a couple of manual Nikkor lenses for a Nikkor 85/1.8 AF-D and the newly released 50/1.8 G lenses.

I was familiar with the 85/1.8 (no surprises there) and found the new 50/1.8 to be a sginificant upgrade compared to the original 50/1.8 AF-D.

I bought a Leica M2 a week ago and it arrived today! Oh the joy. It's my first Leica. Ofcourse I had to order one of Gordy's fantastic straps as well.

I got bitten by the filmbug 1-2 years ago when I discovered an old Lubitel TLR that was just sitting on a shelf in our house. After that I've "cut my teeth" on a few Zorkis and Smenas.

So now I have my first roll inside the M2. I ordered a CV 35/1.4 SC lens too, but it will take some weeks before it's here so I have to make do with my russian lenses.

How about not Bought but Traded...

I listed a Minolta Maxxum AF 50mm lens in the "Want to Trade" classifieds with no responses at all so I headed down to a local camera shop to see what I could see...
I was looking for a Nikon J screen for my newly purchased (garage sale find) Nikon F camera but no such luck...
Instead what he had was a Nikon F Standard Eyelevel finder (Type 3) in chrome...
We traded...
It looks so nice mounted on there...
