Im not familiar with either Legacy Pro 100 or Fomapan 100.
Can anyone familiar with both describe them to me, please?

some say that Legacy Pro 100 is made by Fujifilm in Japan... and that it is in fact identical to their Neopan 100 acros.

If this helps - LegacyPro 100 is Fuji Neopan ACROS 100 rebadged.

Fomapan has a blue base, and is very prone to curling, at least in 120. I'd dig out a print to give you some idea of the look but (a) I've no idea where I put them and (b) I suspect you're looking for something with a bit more quality than a Box Brownie!

Legacy Pro 100 seems to me to have low contrast mid tones particularly. It's a lovely film to work with. When I returned to film from digital, this was the first film I tried. I developed it in Ilfosol3 here:

Legacy Pro is ACROS, a T-grain type film- smooth, grainless images with somewhat less shadow detail depending on development. Fomapan 100 is an old style film- and tends to be grainy and almost chalky in tonality- again, depending on development.

Acros works best in Rodinal 1+50 in my opinion. As other have said, the Legacy Pro 100 is Acros and Acros is very fine grained with somewhat flat midtones.
Fomapan 100 works well in D76 1+1 or PMK. I haven't tried it in Rodinal and I never use HC-110.

Acros is a monosize cubic crystal emulsion with incorporated developing agents, not a flat/t-grain film. One thing to watch out for is that it is quite developer hungry and didn't work well in my tests with very dilute developers. It gives a very sharp, fine grain, modern B&W look.
Foma 100 in 35 mm does not have a blue base. It is an older style film that is quite grainy for the speed but gives an old-style tonality that some like a lot. There is a thread with some beautiful photos taken on it here: http://www.rangefinderforum.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1082711
Choose based on whether you want a modern or older style look. Both films work fine with HC110 in my experience.

Not so new now.
I've had good results with Acros in HC110 in I think dilution g, 1:64 or whatever, only 2 agitations for 30 seconds,over a total time of 9.5 minutes.
In fact, I use the same developer and time for Tri-X. Makes life easier.

I use Rodinal 1+50 on both films.
I like Legacy 100 because it has higher contrast, but less grainy.
Foma (or Arista.edu not Arista Premium) is more 'grey' but not creamy as with Adox CHS.

You should know that Freestyle only has past-date, 100-foot rolls of Legacy Pro left. There won't be anymore Legacy Pro after that sells out. (Supposedly.)
