I would vote for a tribute thread. It took me a while to come back to plus X. I can shoot my fast lenses without a ND filter And I don't get all the grain. It is/was a great film.
One of the best things about Plus-X is that it looks great, but quite different, in almost any developer you can imagine: Rodinal, HC110, D76 or Xtol. I love it in any of the speed maintaining staining developers - Pyrocat, Prescysol or any of Barry Thornton's developers.
In a glass is half full sort of way, if reaction to Plus-X being discontinued has been pretty mum then there might be enough supply for a while. Who knows how much is left, I wonder if Kodak has a master rolls left or waited for supply to dip below a certain level before announcing the discontinuance.
I'd forgot that the Arista Premium is Plus X. I may have to buy some. As for developing Try both but I 'm thinking D-76 will look better. Haven't used Rodinal with Plus X. I've mainly used HC-110.
I grew up with PX in Microdol-X as my staple while in the very early stages of photography in the 70's, I no longer use 100 films, but, Acros 100 would be the closest IMO..
