Nokton 25mm F0.95

Hey guys,

I am considering getting a Nokton 25mm F0.95.
I like light strong lenses for low light situations.
However, this particular lens does not come with an M-mount (Micro-4/3 only).
Is it posisble to use an adapter to fit this on my M8.2? Also, how would it perform on a Leica? I guess there is the risk that the M8.2 sensor (APS-C I believe) is too big for this particular lens (M-4/3).
It'd still be worth checking though as it is an affordable low light lens.
Any opinions?
 
Someone else can confirm this but I don't think its adaptable because the flange distance for m4/3 is shorter than for m-mount. So it would be like having an extension tube on at all times
 
It means that you wouldn't have access to infinity focus, unless the adaptor actually had a "correction lens" in it - as is the case with some adaptors for Canon FD lenses. However no company would make an adaptor to do this, so you would need to have it custom made. It also means there would be a huge amount of vignetting and the entire sensor would not be used due to limited coverage.

Basically it's easier to say it's impossible.

SLRMagic are meant to have a 50mm t0.95 lens coming out in 8 months I think it was - for around the same price as the Nokton 25mm, or there's always the Voigtlander 50mm f1.1 ...
 
Actually I read up on the 0.95 and apparently it is really set wide open. Since I would want it for low light conditions, that means I get soft images. I also looked at the slrmagic lens, and that one failed to impress me.
And let's be honest, if you really want quality, that means getting that 10k Leica 50mm f0.95, but no way I'll spend that money on a lens!

I read up on the Nikon 50mm f1.1, and that seems to perform quite nicely, also wide open. So I'm contemplating that one.
However, I like to get a wide angle, maybe 21mm or in that region, as well as the 75mm norton f1.8. I have a 50mm already so I prefer something different.
 
The 25mm Nokton is designed for Micro Four Thirds, thus its image circle will most probably not cover the full sensor of the M8, let alone that of the M9.
 
I have both. Apart from the close focusing I prefer the 50mm Nokton at all apertures over the m4/3 25mm.
