Pointed and Shot: Your P&S Photos

i was looking through my archives tonight, and quite a few shots of fog that i took during a fishing trip in 2008 caught my eye. these were taking with a canon sd850... i think. this is somewhere off the coast of british columbia.

It was great to experience untainted nature way up north like that... but I did get seasick a couple of times.
 
Social snap. Isn't this what P&S cameras are for? Or used to be for, before people got decent camera phones? Olympus Mju-II with 6 years expired Fuji Superia 400. Auto DX contacts disabled with sticky tape to make the camera revert to ISO100.

First two are from a SF trip me and my girlfriend took the beginning of February of this year. The last one is from a city called Wrightwood tucked away by LA and the Inland Empire in the mountains.

Copşa Mică, Romania. The one time “most polluted city in Europe”. During its peak the carbon dye production factory released seven tons of carbon soot per six hour shift. Houses were stained black, as were sheep. Pollution has left the town with the highest infant mortality rate in Europe as well as greatly increased cases of cancer, lead poisoning, and neurobehavioral problems.
