Spotmatic is still a beautiful Classic up there with anything else made in the 60's/70's. All the Pentax lenses are still useable. The Pentax K1, K3 and LX are also up there pretty high.
It is 6 years now since I made that post of regretting selling that Spotmatic and I have since replaced it with another Spotmatic.

I'd have to say it was my first Nikkormat, an FTn version. I didn't sell it because I needed any money, but I was at a low point where I no longer saw myself as having a career in photography to look forward to, so I sold it to a friend who I thought might get some good use out of it. I did eventually get back into photography fairly intensely though it never blossomed into any kind of career, but every so often I would get hired to do some projects for someone that I could accomplish in my spare time. Then when I started collecting cameras I wound up with almost every model variant.

Cameras. I has it.
Over many many many decades I’ve sold only one camera: an Argus C3; I don’t regret it.

I don't generally regret much. But I probably shouldn't have sold the Leica M-D 262 body .. Have to admit that it is still my favorite Leica M of all. It's utter simplicity is exactly what I love about the best cameras I've owned. No features to work around or be annoyed by, no menus, nothing but exposure, focus, and shutter release. I wish I could find another at a not unreasonable price.

I still kick myself about the Graflex/Norita 66 that I purchased new in college, around '73 or '74. I would kill to have a true eye-level 6x6 SLR, enough so that I've twice tried a Kiev. Big, big mistake! The crazy thing is, I can't even remember why I sold the Norita.

Sell? Sell? You guys sell stuff? What kind of GAS hoarders are you? ;o)
I regret nothing really. Would I like one of the film M cameras that I had in the past back now? Sure, but I can rebuy if I am that attached. I am not.

Lately I've regretted selling the Canon EF 400/5.6L lens. That's because I could use it for a project I have in mind right now. What a great lens it was too. But I didn't need anything that long at the time. Hell, I haven't needed anything that long for years now. Things always change don't they.

I bought a chrome 35 ASPH Summicron new when they first came out and sold it 15 years later because I mostly used the older v.4 Summicron, but what was I thinking?!?

I most regret selling a Mamiya 7 with lens and a Bronica RF645, both of which now cost small fortunes. I also regret not buying Bitcoin when my son in elementary school told me to.

The 2.328 shares of Apple stock I had in 2008. Sold on a high, before the market fell in the recession.

If that is really 2,328 shares and not 2.328 you did very well anyway I imagine. If it was latter, surely you can stop kicking yourself.

I have a bunch of old cameras here I never sold. Film cameras and a few digitals. I rarely or never use them. So if I had sold them what would I be missing? Nothing really. I am pleased with what I have and use, even the ones I have to squint with.

I miss some of my favorite cameras over the years, the Epson R-D1 and the Sony R1, they were sold because technology moved past them and the companies didn't update them. The camera I regret selling most was an A la Carte Leica M7 black paint with NO writing or lettering anywhere on it. I bought it from another member for under $2000 and sold it about a year later for about $2300, it was a beauty and I'm sure worth close to $4000 now so it is no longer affordable for me, I wish I had kept and used it. Ah well..

- Konica M-Hexanon 1.2/50mm.
- Leica M3 with 703xxx serial.
- Set of Leitz-original Black Paint spare parts. Cost me a small fortune to acquire and in the end I first sold the camera they were on and later the set of black parts at a loss, since nobody was convinced they were all real parts. Had an un-engraved Black Paint top plate with it!
OTOH, I don't shoot an M-Leica at all anymore and don't miss it either...
still true..
but also an M6 Classic with 0.85 viewfinder, under 3500 of them made. Price when selling it in 2011 was approx. 3000 EUR less than the current price

My pro-outfit Mamiya C series the 330,65mm 80mm 180mm. It bought into a Pentax 6X7. It was heavy, thought I was worker at the Pyramids! I traded it for a Leica M6TTL at Samy's in LA.
A very fair deal. Best I was now free! More film thru M6 in a few months than the 20 years of that BIG camera. I miss the Mamiya but know I am too weak.

Not yet but I suspect I'll feel bad after selling my analog gear. This said 35mm film in Canada is wildly expensive and the logistics of getting it developed/scanned are way beyond my tolerance levels. Cheers, OtL

Mamiya 7II body along with 50, 80 and 150mm lenses.
Well, actually, I could easily get along with out the 150 but really miss the 50 and the 80.

I guess the one thing I wish I still had is a 1st version 50mm f1.2 Noctilux I bought in the early 70’s. I wish I still had it not because it was a great lens but for what I could sell it for now. :bang:
