I haven't sold anything so no such regrets. I have given a few items away to family. No regrets. If I wanted, I am sure I could ask to use them or even get them back. I have no desire to do either.

I recently bought back most of the favorites I regretted selling. /QUOTE]
I am doing the same thing (with vinyl LP's). But not cameras.
I have no regrets and too much stuff.

I regret selling my 1965 E Type Jaguar. I can rebuy any camera I sold
Me, too.
My wife, at the time, told me I had to sell it, or she would not "allow" me to go back to graduate school. She was gone 3 months after the car. Got $3,200 for the 65 E-type. Ask me which I miss more. There's a lesson in there for you younger folks.

I've followed the rules of photography and motorcycles: never sell a Ducati; never sell a Leica.
I miss my G1 with the 28mm and 45mm lenses. I miss my Mamiya 7.

I have owned (at different times), two 1969 Dodge Chargers. Love to have the one with the 440 back again. But not for what they sell for now.
'Scuse my ignorance, but are we talking pistol grip gearshifter here? Hope so.
Does it hurt when you watch 'Bullit' now? Found a great webpage somewhere (can't seem to find it now) about the exact best way to turn your fastback Mustang into a perfect McQueen rep from that movie. I am British but grew up with a soft spot for American muscle and hot rods. Those magazines cost me a lot of pocket money!

I had a mint-condition Summicron DR that I sold a while back. That lens oozed quality and fine craftsmanship. It was an excellent pairing with my Leica M3. And the image quality was outstanding.
Can't remember my motivation for selling it -- but in retrospect I should've kept it. I haven't seen many for sale since I sold mine. Regrets!

I could not have been happier than when I sold my Duc 800SS.
Horrible horrible suspension. As if it had cement instead of oil in the dampers.
Ridiculous riding position given the performance envelope of the machine. Gas tank prone to rusting out due to a construction/design flaw.
My St4s was a perfect bike though. Nothing but excellent memories from that one.

I suppose it was the near mint black paint M-3 I found in the late 70's. Should have put it in a safe deposit box for 10 years or so.
Otherwise, I suppose it is my Tachihara field camera outfit with three lenses, holders etc in Zone VI case. Still have the Bogen tripod.

Yes, great camera.
Yes, great camera.
A great camera. The wonderful thing is all those lenses can still be used on the new Pentax Digital bodies. Even better now that they are coming out with a full frame body. I agree the old Pentax lenses often compare nicely with vintage Leitz glass.

1963 1/2 Sprint
Biggest regret. Divorce in 2002 forced me to sell my Sprint. The only Car I ever really felt any sort of attachment to. Had it from HS until age 34.
1963 1/2, Ragtop, 289ci, 4 speed on the floor....
Exact same colors as this one. We called it "Stella" after my dads old Rambler when I was a kid.

Not to mention the electrics! If you live in a cold damp country. My brother's SS had electrics from hell.

Yeah the 800s was a beast...I have a friend that owns one still, but he swapped out the suspension.
I had a 05 Monster S2R 800. Great bike. Comfortable. Had 48k miles on it.
Then there is my 06 Sport Classic. It's a torture rack...but so beautiful in my eyes.

Spotmatic is still a beautiful Classic up there with anything else made in the 60's/70's. All the Pentax lenses are still useable. The Pentax K1, K3 and LX are also up there pretty high.
