Ho Chi Minh City

Please share; it was a very different city then. Cheers, OtL
After going through the photo albums on my bookshelf, it appears the ex has all of the Vietnam images. When I take my son back there on the 5th, I'll see if I can borrow them and do the cell phone "scan" of some of them as I'll bet those negs are not in the box of them I have.

Seems to be a lot more expensive for a flight now.
True: fewer flights at higher prices. Also, a current regular tourist e-visa is valid for 30 days, only and can't be extended in-country. Most backpackers are now going to Thailand and Indonesia where longer-term visas are available. This said, I've been to both countries and lived in Indonesia for a few years, and it's a completely different experience.

The Saigon River as seen from the rooftop of the Majestic Hotel. The Majestic is the first hotel in Saigon where I stayed for work in 1991. It is also one of the three French-era 'grands hôtels' in Saigon which is why a cup of coffee set me back the equivalent of $8. Leica SL2S - TTArtisan 5.6/28 -a recommendable lens.
