It occurs to me that colors do not have to be "in your face" and highly saturated to be beautiful. I especially like the subtle colors of this Melbourne, Australia laneway scene and more especially the sublime way the soft amber light spills from the window on the right into the laneway mixing with its colors.

Wow! That looks like something Pete Turner would have done.
He used to do two or three generations of Kodachrome duplicates to build up contrast and saturation.
