From a used book store in Columbus GA, Kodak book on large format photography
Off ebay 4 Rolls of 220 E100 G probable going to save them to shoot fall colors
Off ebay. Wooden 8x10 Contact Print frame. Going to order an Salt Print kit off Bostick and Sullivan next month and starting learning to do salt prints from some of my 4x5 B&W negs.
 
A Ryobi large wide-mouth tool bag. Huh? Well, it can carry my technical camera fully extended, lens open and set at infinity, with the reflex viewfinder installed and Arca-Swiss plate attached. Everything is fully protected from dust and dirt, but I can have the whole setup out of the bag and onto a tripod in about 15 seconds, ready to shoot. Not Leica fast, but unfriendly environments (weather and/or hostile locals) can make speed paramount.

Yesterday my new camera arrived, a LUMIX S5 Mk2, with 20-60, 50/1.8 and 35/1.8 lenses. It’ll be used mainly for my YouTube channel, but also with a macro lens using the high resolution mode for film scanning.

The Sigma 105mm f2.8 Macro is fantastic for this.
 
Based on the cost I was expecting this combo to be a basket case and was very pleasantly surprised.

Lens is very clean with slight oil on the blades. Winding is super smooth, shutter sounds right and is very quiet. Viewfinder had slight haze but it cleaned up extremely well with great contrast for the RF patch. Top cover is easy to take off. Very solid camera.
 
Ok, I'm moving next week, so by all rights I should have a gear acquisition moratorium in place since January, yeah and other lies and fairytales we tell ourselves. I have purchased since March, the following: a red dial Leica IIIf with pre war Leica Elmar 50 f3.5 lens, a Leica IIIg, a Canon 7s along with a Canon 100 F3.5 and Nikkor H 50 f2 lens as a package, a Canon 7sZ (might as well get the last one made), a Canon LTM 35 F2 lens, A Voigtlander 50 F2.5 Color Skopar Lens, a Voightlander 50 F1.5 Nokton in LTM mount, a Light Lens Lab Elcan 50 F2 lens in LTM with M mount adapter, a Light Lens Lab Eight Element 35 F2 M mount lens, and a button rewind Leica M2. I swear, I can stop any time.......really.
 
Last November I sold some older digital cameras and got a Fujifilm XT-30 II with the 35/1.4 which I love. The OOC jpegs using film simulations are very nice, but lately I've been looking at some of my old film and got out my OM-1 with the Zuiko 50/1.4 and it lit a fire in me. Just for fun I thought I'd also get a couple of cheap point & shoot film cameras as an experiment, to see what I can do within their limitations. Then I saw a Konica Auto S3 at KEH rated EX. I've wanted to try one for a while but most of the offers I've seen have been rated UG or AI just for parts, so I jumped on it. And an Olympus XA that followed me home. So naturally I had to stock up on film - 10 rolls of Portra 400, 10 rolls of Portra 160, 10 rolls of Kodak Pro Image 100, 9 rolls of Fujifilm 200. Sigh. No more for me.

I'm shooting a Summer Solstice Festival in the Arboretum tomorrow. I plan on shooting at least half a dozen rolls, plus digital.

A couple of new straps - one from COOPH and the other from Strapateer, as I had a critical failure with one on my m7 last weekend where I was crossing a stream and broke - thankfully caught the camera before it hit the water and rocks

Each of my cameras has a shoulder strap, even if it's considered "uncool" in some circles. But unlike others, I've never dropped my camera on the floor.
Thanks for the tip about the "strapateer", especially the Type C looks interesting.
 
I bought a new Olympus C-750 in 2003 and have used it since. It was getting pretty beat up so I decided to look on the auction site for another one. Found one like new and it came with a CLA-4 extension lens adapter. After finding out what it was for I went exploring and for less money than one of the nice Mamiya lenses I bought last year I ended up with a Y2K collection of Olympus bridge cameras. The Tele, wide and macro extenders fit all three of the cameras. Another C-750, a C2100 “UZI”, and a IS-3 DLX film camera. The C-2100 shots well above its mighty 2.1 megapixels due to a great lens and image stabilization. It also is a great way to shoot infrared, since it does not need modification and you can see what you are shooting through the electronic viewfinder. Example shots below.

Those cameras look familiar!

I regard UWS as a cheap plastic gem.
My Ilford Sprite II looks identical to Kodak Ultra F9: I want to experiment with stopping mine down further (f/11? f/16?) with a home-made zone plate.
XA is my classic Dad-camera, but in this case, Dad had it right.
My Konica S3 needs a new CdS photocell. I'll add that to a future Digikey order.
