Weekend Photography Plans: What are you up to?

They have a combine demolition derby each year in Lind, WA (Central Washington/Columbia Basin, east of the Cascades).

- Murray

I missed it. It was in June. Maybe the rain makes people around here crazier. I'll see if I can get to Lind next year if the excitement is not too much. ;o) It's a day's drive each way so that would be the weekend. Woohoo!!!

Need to pick up some shelves from Ikea this evening and assemble tomorrow in order to rehouse some records - although plan to try and get out for a walk and take some photos at the local loch…other than that possibly scan some rolls and pack some records for a DJ gig in Aberdeen next weekend

Seven of us old friends (heck, we're old people) will rent a van and cross Tokyo bay on a car ferry then spend 3 days exploring the Bōsō Peninsula (Chiba Prefecture, Japan) . I'm the only one in the group hauling cameras and taking pictures. The other members are all girls and they're more interested in eating seafood and shopping at farmers markets and fishing ports.

We'll stay 2 nights at a tradition Japanese style Inn Ashikaso Inn

There's a lot of nice seacoast on the Bōsō Peninsula and some nice lighthouses. One lighthouse is supposed to be walking distance from our Inn.

Nice scenery, terrific seafood and good friends, should be fun!

All the best,
Mike

So far, so good!

Processing film and fine-tuning some exposure/development criteria prior to an up-coming trip to N Italy.

Hunting for photos in Thu Duc City -strangely enough, a city within Ho Chi Minh City and deciding on booking a short trip to Hong Kong or Phnom Penh. Hong Kong because I saw a good deal on a Leica M-A, and Phnom Phen because it is laden with photo opportunities and good food.

It is Wednesday! In a few days there is the weekend :)
I am planning on using the Zeiss G 45mm/2 on my M10 for "some photography". It can be anything. It is a series of hot days, with highs close to 99F and with heat index close to 110F. This may have an impact on what I want to do in the weekend.
How does your upcoming weekend look like?

Hopefully a new 21mm viewfinder pops through the door before the weekend as the 21/24/28 is a bit too big - but we’re off to the seaside for the weekend and also taking in a couple of bands so will be taking photos and also hoping it stays dry

Well, last weekend I shot 5 rolls of C41 at a festival, so this weekend will be back to mono I think. As ever, photography is likely to take place in and around the need to work on the allotment and take my younger daughter’s ‘stuff’ back to her university flat:)

With between 32C and 35C (92-95 F) it's too hot here for my taste and my age to walk around, so my photography will be limited to my apartment, terrace, building, garage...perhaps a few hundred meters to buy a newspaper early in the morning...working a little bit with my LR is a possibility too...

A nearby small northern Michigan town is hosting its annual "Pirate Festival" this weekend. We're heading over right now to see what's going on. I'm packing light today, taking along a Canonet QL1.7 loaded with Fujicolor 200 (the Kodak stuff).

I will take my camera with me as we drive to downtown Pensacola. Who knows .... I may see something worthwhile taking a photo of. I may has said this before here, but we have hot weather now. It is also hurricane season.

I’ve decided to push myself out of my comfort zone and have put the 21mm color skopar on the m7, going to see House Gospel Choir tomorrow night and going to use that for crowd/band shots instead of the usual 28 elmarit

Not much here. We are fogged in at about 65F. We may get more sunny weather and we may not. They do not sell much sun tan lotion around here or many beach umbrellas.

We've had an intense and very welcome monsoon season in NM; the normally brown and dry plains are green and lush. Today, they're dotted with small ponds from yesterday's deluge. They're somewhat incongruous, and seem almost to glow with their own light at dusk. I'll be heading out soon to take advantage of this rare visual treat.
