My wallet is terrified already 😉 Fortunately, like Pentax, they aren't as expensive a habit as some. The 135 get's good reviews and I will want and ML wide at some point too. Wonder how their 28 is? 😀

All very good but some better than others. Apparently Yashica registering the rights for the Contax name was a red line that they crossed so C. Zeiss started delaying the deliveries of C. Zeiss lenses for the RTS system. So Yashica set up the ML line basicaly using everything the learned from Zeiss with the exception of coating - but only for the lenses that have a Zeiss equivalent, i.e. the ML 50f/1.7 but not the ML 50f/2 (you see what i mean). The photographic press was really impress.

Just bought a Carl Zeiss Planar ZM 50mm f2 for my Leica M2 😁

Outstanding lens! Some call it clinical in rendering while some call it vintage. I call it brilliant.

The GF zoom lenses are so good. If I had it to do over I would have bought fewer primes and more zooms.
The GF 32-64mm f4 would suit my needs very nicely! 🙂

Yes that's what I heard. I will probably sell my 30mm and no longer need the 23mm which I was originally planning to get. I have the 35-70mm as well and it is really excellent (and light weight too). The 20-35 and 35-70 should make a good landscape kit.

Been considering a Pentax PZ-1p. It's not quite the last Pentax film camera but from the old Pentax folks I've talked to, they considered it the best of the AF bodies in many ways. Had one in my Eprey wish list for awhile and finally decided to pull the trigger last night. I've got a FA 50/1.4 and a F 35 - 70 that should be good to use with it.

The earlier the better for sure. Kiev 2 & 3 are fantastic once CLA’d but then these are the true contax clones.

When I recently sold all my audio stereo equipment all I kept was a pair of Fostex PM0.3BD active speakers. I kept them because they can connect to my iPod and PC via Bluetooth. However, I still have quite a few CDs and I was in the mood to listen to some of my Beatles CDs so I connected the Fostex speakers to an old JVC DVD/CD player with an analog cable and the sound was adequate but a little on the thin side.

Now we’re getting to the “what have you just bought” part:

I’ve never owned a subwoofer in my life but I got it into my head that a subwoofer was what I needed to bring a fuller, richer sound to my goofy active speaker/DVD player setup. So I bought a Fostex PM-SUBmini2 subwoofer. After I hooked up the subwoofer and played a CD my first reaction was that I’d just wasted good money on a stupid disco boom-boom noise maker. But, after I played around with the volume and frequency I was overjoyed with the music coming out of my simple sound system. I wish I would have bought a subwoofer sooner!

When the music sounds good, life is good!
