Brian,
Do you find that the Bertele is both more contrasty and slightly darker than the uncoated 5cm f2 Sonnar? With the uncoated Sonnar when processing for dehaze in capture One I typically need to increase exposure by 3/4 stop.
Note: I did not do it in the glass shot as there was no haze problem.

Ah ha, now I start to see the rendering differences between the Bertele and the C Sonnar (thanks).
The F-Mount version is slightly modified from the S-Mount version, the rear element had to be moved 1mm farther from the back of the lens to clear the mount. The 8.5cm F2 Sonnar design had to be abandoned, and the 85/1.8 F-Mount is a double-Gauss.Shot with two Nikkor Rangefinder lenses with Sonnar design. The girl in the doorway is taken with the 85mm f2 (chrome body) in LTM mount. and the other with a slightly later black and chrome 105mm f2.5. The latter design is said to be identical to that of the later early F mount version.
Ah yes. Regarding the movement of the rear element, I had forgotten that.
