Weekend Photography Plans: What are you up to?

Maybe we need a Greece thread (if there isn't one already šŸ˜‰
There is one.

And of course a lot of people post them on the Eastern Europe thread.

I had the day off Friday, and I spent a goodly portion of it sitting in front of the computer, digging through my folders of photos from the K-3 III Monochrome. Happy to say they are finally sorted, culled and squared away - with a vow to be more selective in what I take a photo of, and to delete the bad ones off the card, before they ever make it to the PC. There was a lot of chaff there.

If I have the wherewithal, I might do the same today with my folders for either the K-1 II or the GRIIIx.

It is weekend again! What are your plans for the weekend, and will it include some aspects of photography?
I am still home and have not yet decided what to do photographically due to having hot weather in the South of the USA.
At least "I am thinking" about what I might be doing photographically. I miss taking photos with the 5cm Zeiss Sonnar in some neighborhoods in Italy!
Oh well.
Enjoy your weekend.

To hot here to make photos, I dare to say even to hot to think about photography! Or anything else!
Probably I ll spend some time in front of the computer monitor watching something photography related!

My wife and I started our weekend 2 days early (7 & 8 August). We joined a bus tour to Nagano Prefecture. We visited a pond, temple, waterfall, and a forest; all locations were high above sea level where the temperatures were much cooler and the humidity lower. We had a marvelous time! I took my Fujifilm X100VI with me.

A member of our tour group took this picture of my wife and I at Mishakaike pond with my camera.

All the best,

Unexpected trip to NYC. So, managing to find a little time for street photos. Also managed to squeeze in a visit to the Arbus exhibit at the Park Avenue Armory - lucky about that because it ends this weekend…

1. Please do post your impressions of the Arbus show

2. As always, love to see your work, so await your NYC stuff...

I enjoyed the exhibit very much. The exhibit presentation with the use of see-through, l-shaped grids with photos on both sides of each grid - all backed by a ceiling height mirror-wall made the space very cool to wander through. It all seemed overwhelming but I think I managed to see most photos.

I had heard that there were many rarely/never seen photos (there were) and that they showed her diversity in the types of images she captured that she isn’t so well known for - overall, I felt the diversity wasn’t that much as most were still in the style and subject matter she is famous for - which is not a bad thing if you are a fan of her work (I am).

Well worth seeing if you are in NYC today or tomorrow or if it shows up next somewhere near you…

Well, I managed to work through about 8 of the Ionian pictures. I have about that many left and this project is complete.

Some of this last bunch were challenging because of the huge SBR of the Ionian light at the end of the day. These were semistand processed in Pyrocat-HDC so both shadows and highlights are well protected, BUT, some burning and dodging geometries take forever because they are so very fussy and precise.
