What have you just BOUGHT?

A spare electronic cable release for my Mamiya AFD.
A Horizon Perfekt, although I swore I'd never buy another rotato-cam, I couldn't resist. Seems good so far, but I haven't had the first film developed yet.
A product photog table and lights that were massively reduced. It's the lights I wanted.
Now awaiting the arrival of a grip for my X70.

Topcon Super D, from a charity shop. It's had a CLA but speed selection is still not what I'd like. I'll put a roll through and see what comes out. Incidentally if anyone has a lens hood, lens cover or filters that would fit the 58mm f1.4. I'd appreciate a PM. They seem to need bayonet or slip over type.

This is my answer to "For heaven's sake, when are you going to grow up?" Can't help it, we didn't have have these sorts of things when I was young, and if we had, my folks would've thought it insufficiently grim. Perhaps I'll see if I can dangle one of the Nikon miniatures around it's fuzzy neck.

The process of ordering one via app is quite the experience, as Pop Mart is expert at laying on the pressure! In real time, you are treated to on-screen representations of boxes being snapped up at a frenzied rate. Suffice to say I'm, uh, probably not their usual customer demographic.

When I see what so-called adults do, I never want to become one. And if I hold out for a few more years, I never will either ;-)

There's that, but I also felt like exploring something which wasn't a top of the line automobile, motorcycle, ATV, bicycle, jet ski, boat, aircraft, fly-fishing rod, espresso machine, guitar, camera, automatic wristwatch, high-end hifi component, knife, firearm, single malt whiskey or fountain pen!

Then there's the popular bumper sticker saying: "The thing that separates the men from the boys, is the price of their toys". So...cheaper = more youthful? 🤣

No matter how many corners you turn, a new experience lurks around each one. And then there's the next corner, and so on. It never ends.
And about the toys—there are some that are so expensive or unattainable that you always feel young.

Hi!

The past week I bought a Leica M (Typ262)... and while it isn't the same feeling like using the M5, I like using it.

I have an M240 and kind of feel that this generation is the red-headed stepchild of the Leica family. I am very happy with mine. I am pretty sure you will be very happy with yours.
