What have you just BOUGHT?

This week I bought a Mamiya (-Sekor?) m645 2x teleconverter N for my Mamiya m645 1000S and 150mm f3.5 lens (which I think should've been labeled with an "S", as it is shorter, lighter, faster and with a different lay-out of the elements than the previous version. Much the same as the 45mm S and 55mm S lenses). I also bought a rear lens cap from a differetnt seller which even though it has Mamiya moulded into it, the seller asmits its' an after market make. It doesn't fit too well - can take minutes of refitting it for it t ostay on.

I don't know how many elements it has and I don't know how it compares to the Vivitar and Teleplus versions that there seem to be plenty of on ebay.

" NOTE...since recently joining this forum - I've bought the above Zorki 4K, a FED 4, a FED 3(b)....enough already.?
FED 3(a)..? hmmmm "

Only three since you joined? Pfffftt! Amateur! lol. I now have 14 cameras, only two of which were planned before joining and about 4 lenses that were not planned.

How many did you have before joining? Have you edited that zorki 4k post to include the two feds you mention in later posts?

Had a clear out and just purchased a Q3 43 so zero cost .
To say I`m happy with it is a gross understatement.
Good luck with that!

I've been sorely tempted, but what I'd really like is a Q3 43 Monochrom ... I keep hoping, and fearing that they'll release one. 🤣

none - so these 3 are a radical move from my Nikon film (F3) and digital cameras (lotsa lenses)

no ? i made a separate post for each camera

Me too.
The sensor in the Q3 appears to be the same as that in the SL3 .
To my eyes its nothing short of beautiful although I`m not sure that I have fully mastered it as yet.
Same batteries as in the SL2S of which I have a few ... so win win there too.

Jupiter 12 (LTM). I thought I would never buy it again (I had two and I sold because I simply did not use it), but it was too cheap (35€) to close my eyes. So, it just arrived, silver version from 1958, in perfect condition. Maybe, just maybe, I will keep it if I decide to keep that Zorki 4k…

nice - is it 135mm .?
do you need a separate viewfinder..?

Black JDM Nikomat FTn, which will eventually replace the USA-model beater I got from KEH previously. I've serviced the latter, and it's a good shooter, but cosmetics were rougher than expected, and it wasn't the JDM model I was expecting. My wish list can be narrow to the point where only one specific variant interests me.

Dear Board,

With Fall colors coming and a coupon from both KEH and my favorite Japanese eBay seller this became a no-brainer. A bargain Canon EOS 5DMkII from KEH and a Canon EF 24-105mm f4 IS L from Five Star Camera should handle the Fall nicely. Now all I have to do is wait for the leaves to change! 😉

Dear jbennett68,

I don't want to speak too soon but FedEx delivered the lens today with no payment due. I paid exactly what the seller invoiced me, plus PA sales tax though eBay. The shipping was included in the selling price.

Many ebay auctions from Japanese camera sellers (Map Camera, Kitamura, etc...) include the notification: "Due to US customs policies, the buyer of this item will need to pay import fees to the shipping carrier prior to delivery."

I did notice that Five Star Camera, in some of their auctions (maybe not all?), state: "This item includes applicable import fees—you won’t pay anything extra after checkout."

I purchased a very clean M4 from Kitamura knowing full well I would pay a 15% tariff, but it was worth it to me. I guess you got one where Five Star was willing to absorb the cost of the tariff.
