What have you just SOLD?

A whole bunch of stuff. A year ago, as I was getting ready to retire, all my Nikon AIS lenses and cameras, F3s, FM2n, lenses from 15 to 400. Took them to a Used Photo Pro event and came home with a nice check. This year, starting to reduce my Leica film equipment. Six bodies - 3 M6 and 3 M7 - and a number of lenses on consignment with more to go. It's not a money thing or a desire to buy new stuff, but the realization that, at 80, it makes more sense for me to do it than for someone else to have to do it later.

I sold my Pen F to someone who should enjoy it, and use it more regularly than me. It was a fantastic little camera, but I have too many SLRs and I'm not sure half frame is for me.

Donated a nice Casio Exilim credit card-sized digital camera, along with a novelty "Rollerblade" compact that I had serviced with a new lipo battery, a 3D printer I had outgrown, and more.

In the last couple of months I have sold...

A Gelto, a Fed 2, a Voss Diax, a Heutier, a Leveque, an Arco, a Zeika lens, a Beaulieu, two Elmo C300s and an Emel.

Feeling self righteous moi? Never! It clears a space in the cupboard for more stuff.

Hmm from what I can remember of recent sales — both of my Graflex Norita cameras, 60/4 Distagon lens for Hasselblad V series, Canon FTb, a Russian turret finder, Ansco Memo (1927). I’m sure there are a number of other things but these are what pop into my little pea-brain right now.

Mamiya RB67 Pro S kit will soon be next as will a Canon FT and 50/1.4 lens, plus a Norita ever ready case and waist level finder.

During the last month I sold two Elikon Autofocus cameras, Olympus Trip, Helios 44-2 lens and Mir rangefinder with Industar lens.

I’ve been thinking of getting a Norita 66 and the 80mm f/2 at some point. Very interesting system.

It is but you better make sure it’s really working well and without wrinkled shutter curtains. Plus there are a finite number of people who will work on them. If you want a medium format SLR similar to it but likely more reliable then the Pentax 6x7 would be a better choice (yes unfortunately without the 80/2 lens though).

Recently sold my NONS SL660. Very sturdy camera, the metering was fine and it was great being able to use 35mm lenses, but eventually the viewfinder (only shows part of what you'll get) grew tiresome. Fortunately I'd got through most of the 40-odd packs of film I'd got cheap because it was out of code (being 3-4 years out of code and just stored on a shelf didn't seem to make any difference).

Also a Wimberley gimbal that I got cheap and I thought I would use (or at least experiment with) but didn't.

Canon LTM 1.4/50 the "Japanese Summilux" I liked it, recommend it but have too many 50 mm LTM-lenses. More Canon-LTM sitting on the desk to be sold...
