Hi all,
I have a 35/2 summicron version 4 here and need to replace the 3 screws holding the front bezel.
Do anyone know the size of them?
Thanks,
Edward
You can measure the setscrew diameter and length, then find the replacement. Some sellers on UK eBay offer these screws. If the hole’s thread was stripped, you may need to find a little larger screw then tap the thread.
Replacing screws requires considering thread pitch as well as diameter and length. You need to know the specs for that screw before you can replace it properly. Threading in a screw with the wrong pitch would damage the lens's threads. It would be easier to replace them by application. I'd look for a repair shop that might be able to help. In the USA that's DAG. If "Manchester" means England you may have other options.
But this requires good holes and threads in your lens. If those are already damaged you've got other trouble.

It is neither M1 or 1.2 . But Grub screw under such size is hard to find in the UK even on eBay. Most are M1.6 size. There is a place selling M1.2 for a few pounds each! I need 3 and if I got the wrong size then need to buy again. That’s why I need to ask to make sure about the size.

What is the length? It is flat or cone point, back is slot? You can also e-mail DAG, if he has parts he may sell to you.
This size set screws are never cheap due to difficult to manufacture
