Canada Toronto area RFF member meeting this summer

I'll add a 'me too' to what Dave said. It was hot, but fun. I really enjoyed meeting everyone and seeing all the RF bodies and lenses. We had some great RF chat. There were some great classic and modern cams in attendance.

I was too bothered by the heat to do any shooting on the street, but I'd love to go back when the weather is cooler. It's a vibrant, colourful area of the city.

I believe Frank did some shooting before we met, and stayed around after we dispersed to do a little more. Good on ya, Frank!

Seeing Frank's and Bill's prints was excellent. I hope by next time I have an opportunity to work up some prints to bring along.

Learned about some good darkroom and scanner rental places from Dave.

Iggers great collection of vintage RF's was a treat in itself.

A very worthwhile get-together. Next time, if it's summer, we might look for a pub that's air conditioned. :D

Great deal of fun I thought :)

Frank's prints were impressive to say the least !!
Bill's shots were good too!
Gene brought had his Ruskie Cam (I think it was a Zorki right?) and Bessa R.
Frank brought his M6 and lenses
I think Iggers had the biggest collection of "cool" cams there - his Retina IIIa, Seagull , Bessa R and a couple others were really interesting.
Bill had his M3 and Ruskie Camski (Zorki or Kiev.. I want to lean towards Kiev) .

I sat in awe of some of the stuff :)

I hope we can do that again soon but on a cooler day !!! Next time we should try to go out and shoot :) although sitting and yapping and having a couple pints was perfect for today's conditions imho :D

Cheers
Dave

Dave,
It is a Kiev III,

I had fun this afternoon and I was impressed with Frank's photos. I did some shooting on the way to the Last Temptation in the Market and earlier this morning in Leslieville. Heat, what heat?? We have to do this again at some point of course when its not so tropical.

You would have thought this was a Southern Florida or Louisianna Range Finder Meet :)

Kiev III... got it :D

Cheers
Dave

I missed this past meeting due to many, many obligations - but I'm stoked for the next. Please add me to the potential posse :)

Gene,
115 posts are considered a quick consensus. Dave, if you can make lunch on Friday, you will have a lot of fun.

Will there be another RFF meetup in the T-Dot this July?

:D
I'm up for it! Maybe a couple of weeks after Canada Day? At my advanced age, it takes longer to recover...

I'll do some of the organizing.. lets' see if we can not only meet but shoot something too :)

Don't we always shoot our pints and cameras on the table?? :)

I'm in for a summer meetup. Maybe we should start a new thread?
