Why... the G2, of course! 😉
But of course! I has to be the Contax G2 😉nixarma said:Why... the G2, of course! 😉
Questions about future service needs are the only knock against it that I can find. That's the only reason I don't have one. I've heard lots of conflicting reports about these needing work already, and not many stories along the lines of "needed X done, got it fast and cheap, and now it's fine". Meanwhile, how's it going to be in 20 years? 10?Krosya said:SKHAN got it correct first - It's a Konica Hexar RF!!!! A Beautiful Camera! Should I get it? I think I should. Can't find a single thing against. It looks and feels so right!!!!!

SFAIK, unless you are in Japan
you can forget about getting that complicated camera repaired.
anyway, all of the current Bessas, as well as the ZI, have a better RF/VF.

I actually did consider these options at first, but came to following conclusions:
While you may be right, in theory, in practice - I wonder how many of them need repair this soon - after all they are not that old.
As far as Bessas - they seem to have a shady track record - many jam/break as well, based on what I read here. And while one can service them - It's still is a hassle. I had Bessas and they seem far more flimsy that Hexar or Leica. VF/RF - Short base of Bessas - is what made me get away from them as well as shutter noise. Hexar seems quieter even with it's motorized drive that Just Bessa's shutter. And brightness - Yes Bessas are brighter, but not as much as it made out to be. At least not to my eyes.
And here is a quote from Cameraquest web site on Hexar: " The Hexar RF is an excellent camera. With some features that no Leica M had until the introduction of the Leica M7 in 2002. I expect some Hexar RF's finding themselves into a Leica bag, working besides an M6 to offer the photog the best of both." So, did you change your mind about it since?
So, with all that going for it, and just possible problem servicing, Hexar RF seems to be a far better deal to me than a Bessa or a ZI, even more so if I can get it for less that I'd pay for a Bessa R4A.
