One day, a $10 RC will fly into my hands, one of these days... 😛

Eat your heart out - just got a £2 RC off ebay.
Arrived this morning!
But it was described as parts or repair!
And that was stretching it a bit.
But I wanted the bottom plate to replace one on which some guy had 'engraved' his name and number. And I got that. The camera is not really a goer. But the back door is great, the self timer handle is all present and correct.
And I intend to look at the insides to see how they work - it's a non-goer so it doesn't matter if I can't get it together again! What's called a learning situation!!
The camera looks as if it has had some sort of accident. The lens is loose in its housing and the front element is scratched tp h*ll. There is a dent in the bottom. The rangefinder eyepiece is distorted as if partially melted and the whole camera covered in an odd deposit. I could spend ages thinking up implausible explanations for its condition but I'll probably never guess right.
Nevertheless a good £2 worth.
