Dirk Rösler from Megaperls got one for me while he was at Map Camera. It just came in the mail! This thing is the greatest.
It's like I bought another camera for $160.

Instant M3, eh? I remember hearing about these on pnet. Different magnifications are available, right? How does the quality compare to the Leica VF magnifier? Do they take web orders?

Indeed, I am also interested in this magnifier. How to get one sent to Germany?

I think they also sell a reduced magnifier (e.g., turns your .72 into a .58). Someone on the photo.net board several months ago posted a message to this effect.

Map Camera doesn't ship outside of Japan. I only got it because Dirk said he was going to be there anyway. Maybe he can do it next time he goes?
There are several versions, and they cost the same. A .85x reduces magnification one step, and a 1.15x increases the .85x viewfinder a bit to allow open eyed focusing.
The knurling on the diopter adjuster isn't finely machined, but it's otherwise well made. With one eye closed, you can tell it's dimmer, but with both eyes open, it seems brighter than without. Score! With the diopter at the right spot, the view is sharp. Just don't adjust it too much, or else it'll come off. Pincushions, if you look at the framelines, which I can't fully see with glasses. It's a little tighter than the 35mm framelines without the magnifier, so you should be able to see the 50mm FLs well on an M6 because they're smaller to begin with.
