10 Rolls Neopan Acros $17.88?

I am taking my chances. I just placed an order.
A potential issue ... delivery date could be by May 4. Is it sent from Mars?

It strikes me that it'd be a lot of work to build up 29 positive feedbacks over the period of a year just to scam people out of $17, but we'll see!

Last year someone on eBay was selling 10 rolls of Ektar for nothing and I bought some, it turned to be that a hacker stole the seller's account. I was fully refunded in the end though. They don't build up positive feedbacks, those hackers just steal some long-time-no-use accounts with a little positive feedbacks from ages ago.

If it makes you feel any better, B&H is selling it for $6.99/roll.

Wow, and it used to be 2,95 in 2010.
Of course had to pick up the phone and place an order.

RFF Experiment begins 😂

This pricing may be possible if it were factory direct. AFAIK there was an Austrian saying they could get rechanneled Acros at 4€ a roll.

To me, it would appear that it (the image at least) is coming out of Taobao Marketplace, founded by Alibaba. If you really want to take a chance, you can get 5 packs of the Acros 100 for around $4 (US), at least that is what I'm deriving from google translate.

To quote Wikipedia:

Founded by Alibaba Group on May 10, 2003, Taobao Marketplace facilitates consumer-to-consumer (C2C) retail by providing a platform for small businesses and individual entrepreneurs to open online stores that mainly cater to consumers in Chinese-speaking regions (Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan) and also abroad.[4] At the end of 2010, the number of registered members on Taobao had reached over 370 million, around 80% of the Chinese online shopping market.[5]

With around 760 million product listings as of March 2013, Taobao Marketplace is one of the world’s top 10 most visited websites according to Alexa.[6] For the fiscal year ending on March 31, 2013, the combined gross merchandise volume (GMV) of Taobao Marketplace and Tmall.com exceeded 1 trillion yuan,[7][8] more than that of eBay and Amazon combined. The Economist calls it "the country's biggest online marketplace".

Just ordered some myself. Not completely expecting to receive any, but will be a great surprise and a happy day if I do. I've depressed the shutter not really sure the shot would "come out", this isn't that much different. Exciting, and foolish both!

Interestingly, when I click on "see other items" eBay shows that the seller has no items for sale...

On another note, they didn't put the effort in to make $17. They've 'sold' 23 x $17 today already, and on who knows how many other items.
It's easier to con 100 people out of $1 than one person out of $100 after all.

They have the Fujifilm 200 still, but when I put some in the cart I got this:

"The seller only allows buyers to purchase 1 item every 10 days."

I've never seen this before on eBay.

Thanks for the heads up

Thanks for the heads up

Don't forget about that Fuji C200 @ $1.29 a roll for 36 exp.

Dear Huss,

I bought my maximum allowable ten rolls for less than a case of beer. And I drink cheap beer too!

Like my one customer used to say, after his finely crafted bid for a construction project was opened, "Hey Tim, Win or lose, into the booze!"

It is a chance worth taking.

Regards,

Tim Murphy 🙂
