10 Rolls Neopan Acros $17.88?

I dont know this is the case,
but I've seen "fake" films before.
Someone can confirm the quality when they get their orders.

What?!?! Fake film?? :bang:

Should worth getting if at least image come out after development :D

This pricing may be possible if it were factory direct. AFAIK there was an Austrian saying they could get rechanneled Acros at 4€ a roll.

Was he serious?

Getting film cheap in Austria is hard. I order my films from Germany.

Do you have contact details for that person?

Greetings from Austria

Interestingly, when I click on "see other items" eBay shows that the seller has no items for sale...

On another note, they didn't put the effort in to make $17. They've 'sold' 23 x $17 today already, and on who knows how many other items.
It's easier to con 100 people out of $1 than one person out of $100 after all.

And that is an interesting part - indeed, when clicking on "see other seller items" it shows zero results. But then I can still see Fuji C200 under the same seller which I saved in my watched items. Mystery...

To me, it would appear that it (the image at least) is coming out of Taobao Marketplace, founded by Alibaba. If you really want to take a chance, you can get 5 packs of the Acros 100 for around $4 (US), at least that is what I'm deriving from google translate.

To quote Wikipedia:

Founded by Alibaba Group on May 10, 2003, Taobao Marketplace facilitates consumer-to-consumer (C2C) retail by providing a platform for small businesses and individual entrepreneurs to open online stores that mainly cater to consumers in Chinese-speaking regions (Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan) and also abroad.[4] At the end of 2010, the number of registered members on Taobao had reached over 370 million, around 80% of the Chinese online shopping market.[5]

With around 760 million product listings as of March 2013, Taobao Marketplace is one of the world’s top 10 most visited websites according to Alexa.[6] For the fiscal year ending on March 31, 2013, the combined gross merchandise volume (GMV) of Taobao Marketplace and Tmall.com exceeded 1 trillion yuan,[7][8] more than that of eBay and Amazon combined. The Economist calls it "the country's biggest online marketplace".

Both sales are $4 per roll, not per 5 rolls..

I saw the C200 when I clicked on see other seller items last evening.

sometimes I see this when a seller is in another ebay country than mine. I often have to switch to eBay.fr to see the items "liquoreux67" is selling and then once I find what I want I change ".fr" for ".es" to save it in my following items, then I can see it and buy it.
I usually do that because eBay.es don't show all the items offered around the world

I spotted this too the other day but I've been too much of a chicken to pull the trigger on it. It's a new seller account so at first i though "they must want to build up good feedback fast" but with the nonsensical name I'm really weary about it. My biggest worry isn't losing $5 but having my paypal/ebay/gmail/whatever stolen/hacked since all that stuff is linked together. :(
I sent the seller a message this afternoon about the film but I doubt I'll hear anything back from them.

If it looks too good to be true.. it usually is.

I'll wait to see what comes of this. Pay by a credit card so payment can be stopped. PayPal has been of no help when I've been ripped off on eBay.

When I tried to use eBay Checkout for this although I was already logged in at paypal.com
an additional Paypal login prompt popped up. I did not proceed; I'm not sure if that's normal or ???

Sort of related info..

A couple of years back I was at a very high end conference held by Microsoft (I was working not a guest). The guests numbered under 100 people. These were the select, powerful customers of Microsoft. I remember a few, Union Bank. FedX, Salesforce, UPS, etc .This was a rollout of select software that these companies use to track and bill their customers. Some in the group were executives. Three companies were picked to beta test the software. Reps from those companies spoke before the group. When the team from eBay took the stage, the whole group Booed them. This was a group of women and men in $2,000 suits. It went on for many seconds. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Had all these people had bad personal or business experiences with eBay?
