nice.. as you know Pentax K to Leica M adapters are readily available for little money too
Would such adapted lenses then allow RF focusing?

thank's a lot for all the info and links Raid!
After reading that the LTM and R lens are the same ( as is with a few of the teles ) I thought that the lens will be too big for me to consider but seeing your I see that it's tiny. Very attractive, sure not a cheapo![]()
The 19/3.5 is a really good lens.

oh, of course not! your conversion allows for RF focusing, wonderful, and you chose a SMC 1.4/50Would such adapted lenses then allow RF focusing?
I use mirrorless where a simple adapter is sufficient, but like it small and have been shifting away from Pentax / Takumar lenses, which I still love and will keep, for an obvious reason..

size difference of the adapted Pentax M 1.4/50 to e.g. Canon LTM 1.4/50 is less pronounced though, might add a compariosn of both with their respective Leica M adapter, just out of curiosity

I also use such adapters with M 4/3 cameras, but then the view is for a focal length that is twice as long as the lens.

I've had or have
35/1.5
50/1.8
85/1.5
85/1.8
85/1.9
135/3.5 x 2
It was a big mistake to sell the 85/1.8, which I had bought new, and then the 85/1.5. The 1.8 was a MUCH better lens than the contemporary 90 Summicron (I tested them against each other when they were new, and now I have another Summicron from the same era and it's no better than the first was), but the 1.5 was more fun. I keep looking for another of those that I can afford. . . . . some day.
