120 Film Frame Numbers

Recently I loaded Fuji Superia 100 film into my Ensign 820 camera and discovered that the film did not have the 8 exposure 6x9 numbers on the paper backing. Please advise as to which current films still have these numbers. The camera has windows for both 12 exposure 6x6 and 8 exposure 6x9, and I was peering through both as I loaded my new aquisition for a first test. Thanks

I am pretty sure I used Ilford in my 6x9 a couple of months ago. But I think Kodak also has it. I have been using b/w but surely those brands would do the same with their color.

That's quite surprising. I have never used Superia film on any of my 6x9 folders but I use Fuji 800 NPZ, Kodak TXP320, Ilford XP2, Arista Edu Ultra 100 & 400 and Efke/Adox 50 and I can confirm that the numbers on the paper backing for 6x9 format show in the red window with all these films.

I spoke to a Fuji tech rep. and he said that Fuji Professional films all have the numbers. I'm assuming their must be a tremendous cost saving by not printing the numbers on amateur films. Additionally I bought a roll of Kodak 160 VC and it has the numbers so the world is not closing in on 120 folder folk after all. Now I just need a little brighter weather to discover which side of the Ross Xpres debate is right.

I know Ilford has frame numbers on Pan F and FP; I've shot some just lasy week.

Ilford XP2 has the numbers for 6x9.
