Folks,
I have a question concerning the 12526/12524 square lens hood. If I am not mistaken, the 12526 comes with a big square lens cap, while it's predecessor the 12524 does not. I was wondering if it's possible to use 39mm snap-in (or click-on, however you want to call it) caps inside the mounted hood. Or what are the other possibilities for using lens caps (and/or filters) with the hood mounted?
I would also like to point out that I'm looking to buy either hood (12524 or 12526), so let me know if you have any on offer (or know where I can find one). Doesn't have to be new, it can be rough-looking. I have posted a WTB add but I'm not sure it's getting much attention there.
Thanks in advance.

My Leitz-era 'cron 35 v4 was packaged with the 12524 shade but no cap for the shade (tough times at Wetzlar
). This shade is clearly designed for a slip-on cap because retaining ridges are visible on left and right sides. With shade in position, interior clearance is very tight: perhaps the new-fangled ZM cap can clear, but it needs to be 39mm with E thread.

I responded to you in "my" thread as well, jonasv, and agree with rico: while there is room, I am not sure I'd be able to get the lens cap in and out easily. It's rather close and tight at the bottom! If you look in my thread, there is a handy diy solution in a link to pnet. Given the method used, it should be adaptable to either shade.
