i've been working on a 365 project...pushing myself to create an image every day...my area to photograph is very limited most of the time (at work) or open to me on the week ends.

first observation...i am cropping much less than my normal.
second observation...my exposures are much closer to my vision.

Joe,

Are you as happy with the picture you pick each day as most of the shots you shared prior to the start of 365?

Interesting observations. As an addict to photography I'm taking pictures daily for some years now. I guess, this is why I stopped cropping digitally, while still do it on prints.
But vision part is nowhere near. I think, EVF helps with it.

Do you go out with a specific photo in mind, ie somewhere you have been before but with different light?

first question out of the box and i'm stumped!!

some of the pics i have picked in the 365 are dreadful but i promised myself i would follow through with this and i plan on keeping that pledge.
a bit more...i am a terrible editor...at times i throw in a pic that i either dislike or have no strong feeling about, either way, and it seems to hit a chord with folks and way more people like it than i would have ever guessed...and also the reverse happens...a shot i really like just fizzles.

i shoot about 20 minutes a day, mon to fri...almost always at work...indoors and out. weekends i take the same stroll on the avenue that i have been taking for 20 years and shoot at will.
i usually take a lens that 'feels' good for the day, sometimes i take 2 or 3 but rarely use them. i prefer cloudy days but take what i get. i love shooting in the snow and sometimes put on the big snow boots and take a walk and shoot away.

Some famous American football fellow said the same as Chris, "Practice, Practice, Practice".

i heard that differently...
' a young man walking in manhattan, carrying a violin, stops a stranger and asks him if he knows how to get to carnege hall?
the stranger looks at him and says practise, practise, practise...
