Had the opportunity to test the Zeiss 21MM Biogon further.
2nd impressions:
- Vignetting : present even stopped down but curable in the raw converter
- Contrasty and ........ Verrrrry sharp!!
- Different fingerprint from Leica ... but i'm loving the look more and more and more ....
Some new samples: all at f11 Iso 400 handheld.

as sharp as a scan could be, any shots showing a shallower DOF? Say f4 or so?

Lovely photos... but get closer to those pedestrians.

since they're supposed to be digital ready, does it have good corner performance at wider apertures?

J.Borger : you are very good at composition. If that's just you testing a lens . . . wow
Nice work. Fantastic lens. Looks MF. I want one. . . but my 45mm will have to do. And it does.
super nice.

No no more pictures , but it is a Ferrari indeed.. Did you notice the little gem in front of it ... that was a Lancia from the 50's. Got even more attention from the crowds.

You are right Hoot.... but in general i find a lens this wide to stressful for general streetshots. Can't live with all the mad looks.hoot said:Lovely photos... but get closer to those pedestrians.
Just wonder if Winogrand still had his own teeth when he died

No complains here. Sharpness looks very even across the field.aizan said:since they're supposed to be digital ready, does it have good corner performance at wider apertures?
But keep in mind i shot on a R-d1 .. which has a cropfactor.
For full-frame you have to rely on Puts or Sean Reidt if he is ready with his review.
