This photo was made in a driving rain storm in Dublin, Ireland in October, 2011. Camera was the Ricoh GXR-M, lens was the Color Skopar 21mm f/4. What you see is about 3/5 of the total frame.
Shutter time was quite low so a lot of subject blur. But to my eye, it adds to the effect and feeling of the shot. I've made it into a superb 21x37" canvas wrap which hangs on my living room wall.

These are very old shots from the 70s, with an Oly 21/3.5. I bought a CV 21 a couple of weeks ago, but don't have much to show yet. 21 is one of my favorite lengths, not because of any type of distortion, but because I like to work very close. In general, I don't ever use anything longer than 50mm, and my flickr site has quite a few things with 15, 20, 21, and 24mm lenses. I view the 21 as a "normal" length, because it takes in a view similar to what I do. The big problem with ultrawides is trying to keep everything from turning to hash by having too much unrelated stuff in the photo.
