21mm Super Angulon

What's up with the name, "Super Angulon" on the Leitz 21 mm lens? Or, is it spelled differently from the Schneider lenses? Or an agreement of some sort? Wondering!

hi, just joined the club, had a visit to new york, great time ,great city,found a super angulon at kurland photo , but now i need a HOOD this might be a good start thanks

I know that this is posted in the film M section, but the 3.4SA is one of my favourite lenses on the M8 especially for B&W:

Ok so here's an odd one. M8-2 with 21mm f/3.4 Super-Angulon-R via a 22228 adapter. An interesting combination because it offers close-focus to 8" with a symmetrical design and excellent image quality. Focus is by estimate or measurement as it always was on this lens. This pic is from 10" with an exposure of 4s @ f/11.
