Hello All,

I was wondering how easy the 24mm lines on the M8 are to use. Are they so close to the edge as to be difficult to see, or pretty manageable? I might get an M8 in the not distant future and am debating buying a 24 or 28mm lens as my 35mm equivalent. Thanks for any help!

It depends somewhat on whether it's the original M8 framelines or the upgrade M8 (and M8.2) framelines, the latter being further out toward the edges.

I'm one who cannot see the whole 35mm frameline on an M2 at once except barely in peripheral vision with my eye centered just right. Without glasses. The 24/35mm frameline in the upgrade M8 (M8.2) is about the same as that, while the original M8's 24mm frameline is more easily seen. But then it's smaller because it's set to frame accurately at close range...

I wear glasses and my M8 has the upgraded framelines and I can see the 24mm framelines better than I used to see the 28 framelines in my M6 but it still takes some scanning around. It depends somewhat on your glasses, how thick they are and how close you can press them to your eye. Since I don't use a 24/25mm I'm sort of glad they're out there at the edge, because that way the 35mm frames seem almost like they're by themselves.
