Trying to get a small digital street photography camera setup going with one wide and in standard length initially.
I got a 15mm f1.7 for my g100d after I went shopping for a 14mm f2.5. They had a second hand one in the shop and it just felt right and not too big in the camera. When I bought the camera with the kit lens I did try out an oly 25mm f1.8 which did seem nice and compact. I am now thinking of getting the PL 25mm F1.4 to go with the 15mm, but do not have the opportunity of trying it out on the camera first. Not sure whether the 2/3 stop difference make that much difference. Better bokeh may be good though. Most of all I want a good compact lens to go with the other two though. Anyone else in the same boat or have tried compact primes with the g100. I want to stay with autofocus lenses for the moment.

I have the Olympus 25/1.8 and 25/1.2, but not the PL 25. I'm a huge fan of the Oly 25/1.8, and it is my go to lens for a general purpose 50mm eq in this format. There's the temptation to get the PL 25 to match the PL 15, but the Oly is so good that I think it's much of a muchness.
While I don't own the G100D, I have the GX85 and GM1 among others, and the Oly fits their compact nature perfectly. It's even great on larger m43 cams like the GH3, GH4 and G9. I've spent many enjoyable days walking around with the Oly 25/1.8 on the GH4 or G9. The only time I find myself wanting wider aperture is shooting video in very dark situations. The Oly has a relatively high T stop compared with its f stop, letting in less light at the same aperture than, for example, the Voigtlander Nokton primes or the Olympus Pro f1.2 primes.

Battle of the 50s: Olympus 25mm f/1.8 versus Panasonic 25mm f/1.4 — Photographic Wanderings
A few weeks ago, Olympus launched a 25mm f/1.8 lens for the Micro Four-Thirds format, finally kind of catching up with the existing Panasonic Leica 25mm f/1.4 lens. Kind of, because the Olympus doesn't have that magical f/1.4 aperture that seems to be the distinguishing feature between low-end f/1.8

Olympus 25mm 1.8 vs Panasonic 25mm 1.4
So with this outlet sale going on now the Olympu 25mm 1.8 is on sale for $159.99. I have the Panasonic 20mm 1.7 but find its AF to be quite slow and have read that both of the lenses in my title are pretty darn good. My question is, for $300-350 for the Leica 25mm 1.4, is it worth the difference...

Thx. I have decided on the oly 25mm f1.8 now, especially and may get the PL 25mm f1.4 ii or oly F1.2 when I get the g9 as it's weather resistant. For now the oly F1.8 will do.

I'm sure you'll enjoy it, it's a super little lens, especially for the price. And on the G100D it is the right size.Thx. I have decided on the oly 25mm f1.8 now, especially and may get the PL 25mm f1.4 ii or oly F1.2 when I get the g9 as it's weather resistant. For now the oly F1.8 will do.
