One thing I've noticed about mine: the focus ring turns quite easy. Some other owners have mentioned the same...do you guys notice that?

Yes, my example is quite 'slippery' in this regard. Almost is as frictionless as an AF Nikkor in MF mode. I had a second one which was more damped, but was not a 6-bit lens, so I kept this one and have gotten used to it. I also like the throw on the 28/2.0- absolutely perfect for me.

I LOVE my 28 F2.0 and don't have anything to show since I don't yet own a scanner. I've used mine wide open and it's sharp out to the corners and has great color saturation.

Just wonderful in it's rendering! Shadow detail out the wazoo and highlights that aren't too blocked-up! It's as if the lens gives you extra exposure latitude as soon as you mount it on the camera body!

The 28/2.0 ASPH is one of my most used lenses. These are both wide open:

28/2 lens was your most used lens, then you swapped on 28/2.8 Asph.
