why the run on 15's?

too hard to use?
people get frustrated?

i shot a complete roll with the 15 on the weekend but need to process it yet.
it seemed a real treat to use but i'm now sorta worried that i may be too hopeful...

Hi
where are they all? can only find one in the classified...

I think the 15/4.5 is an excellent lens and great for either landscapes, pseudo architectural or exterior/interior studies and select street scenes where the subject matter is not too close, otherwise you risk distortion (especially faces, arms, legs, etc.). Here's an example of an early morning shot I took recently while visiting a friend in Chile that came out unexpectedly nice. I thought the column on the right might bend, but it didn't. So, as a result of such outcomes, I find myself walking around with the 15 on and the 21, 25 and 28 in my camera bag!

Actually, I got the 12/5,6 after I sold my 15 and partly wish it had been the other way around. Both are great, but the 15 a tad more handy (it´s gorgeously small). On image sharpnes/quality, I´m not sure - I took a couple of magazine architecture shots with the 15 that were really satisfying - in difficult low sunlight from the side. The 12 I´ve mostly used on my fairly recent Mexico trip and have yet to scan. Actually, I MIGHT consider swapping back to the 15.

Off topic:

Last time I was in Britain I went to buy some rubber tubing. I asked for a yard, and the guy said I need to buy in metric so I said I'd take a metre. Then he asked me whether it was the 1/2 inch or the 3/4 inch tubing I wanted!

Great for doing self portraits (a bit or arm contortion) with these CV 15mms. 🙂

Bought a CV 15mm a week ago. Haven't had the chance to use it yet. Although I've used super-wides in the past so I know its going to be a rarely used lens, but it will be going with me to Bulgaria in 6 weeks time.

On the subject of the Brits and metric/imperial... We are having the metric system forced upon us by Europe... We like to continue using the imperial system because we enjoy annoying the French and Germans.

I just want to know- do the folks at B.P. realize that 16 feet is less than 9 yards, or did they intentionally short me the other 3 2/3 yards?

I buy my milk in pints whenever possible. Otherwise, I have to repeat my mantra "a litre of water is a pint and three quarters". I feel old 😀
...a pint and three fourths. A pint and three quarters is just a pint short of a gallon, isn't it? 😛

The Metric system sure is a beauty. But there are limits. What an overhaul would a Metric clock be! We'd have to redo maps, treaties, computers... the Y2K bug would be an amoeba f@rt compared to that mega disaster.
