anyone know roughly (from the images posted so far) how the 35mm ultron will compare to the new 1.4 Nokton ?
I need to get a 35mm very soon but am not liking the bokeh that much on the new lens (although i appreciate its early to judge) and seeing as a shoot wide most of the time Id prefer a smoother look. Hos does the 35mm 1.7 stack up in terms of character and bokeh ?
cheers

i owned an ultron 35 1.7 before. personally i think its not a bad lens, decent enough for good photos. U can see some of my samples here.

I have Ultron and seen a few samples from Nokton 35/1.4. To me Ultron looks far better based on image quality. New Nokton 35/1.4 seems to be very similar to 40/1.4. WHile Ultron is more similar to Nokton 35/1.2 - the best 35mm lens I ever used! I'm not impressed by new Nokton 35/1.4 at all so far. The only thing it has going for it is size. But than again, it's maybe too early to tell as it's a new lens. But so far Ultron wins for me!

I feel the Nokton is a better lens in all respects except price.
I have Ultron and have no plans getting a Nokton though.

New Nokton 35/1.4 seems to have harsh bokeh just as 40/1.4. Ultron has a very nice bokeh. So, IMO Ultron is better at this too.
