35 CC battery check wiring

Hi all,
I have a 35 CC off the bay for spares/repair, and I'd prefer the latter (!).
From looking around inside, the battery check plunger appears to have broken off its connection post (bad description, sorry), and the white wire is free at one end. It's still soldered to the batt check board ok. It looks to me that the white wire has a tiny terminal with a hole in (1mm ?) and I think it may actually fit in where the plunger has snapped off.
Has anyone seen a CC this close up (has one opened ?) and can guide me on where this wire should locate ? I'm happy to resolder whereever possible, and i may be able to Araldite the plunger back on its post.
I can post macro pix if anyone needs a better idea.

I've worked out what needs to happen - the small tab on the end of the white wire (see 2nd shot) needs to be set behind the 'plunger' for the battery switch, so when the test button is pressed, the metal plunger makes contact with this tab and completes the test circuit, lighting the test lamp.
It looks like the plunger needs to be cemented back onto its post, so I will have to take off the top right section (containing the winding mech) to unscrew the whole assembly for cementing.
Sorry for the detail, but I figure someone else may find this useful sometime !

It looks like a difficult repair, but I've come across a couple of cameras with this problem. Sometimes people will take off the top cover to clean the viewfinder or whatever, and they'll forget to depress the check switch when reinstalling the cover. You need to set the red button in the top cover, and hold the camera and cover in a way that gravity holds the button in place. You place the cover on top of the camera carefully, but it will not seat without performing a couple of steps. First, you must depress the flash sync leaf spring by pushing a small screwdriver through the screw hole below the sync terminal. The cover will then slide down on the sync side. Then, you use the same screwdriver to depress the metal button on the battery check switch, you can see it through the battery access hole on the top cover. Then the battery side of the cover will slide down. Failing to depress the inner button as you install the cover will cause the red outer button to catch against it, instead of sliding behind it, which may break the switch.
