35mm frameline for Jupiter-12

Hi,
I have some FED, Zorki, some Leica LTM, some Canon and also some Bessa.
But I'm still looking for a body for Jupiter-12, with 35mm frameline.
Leica M2 and other Leica M bodies are too expensive for me.
Is there any-body which has 35mm frameline and is affordable?

My Jupiter-12 are all silver. All too large for Canon and Bessa.

The Leningrad is the only FSU with framelines and I'm not sure if it includes 35mm ones. A bit of an acquired taste too. Why not use an external finder, it's what most folk do.

The Canon P and Canon 7 cameras may be good choices. I believe the Bessa R also has a 35mm frame line: possibly someone can confirm. Also, the rear element of the J12 protrudes very far back, and it may hit the shutter curtain or surround on some cameras. I think the ones I have listed are OK, but as I am away from home for the next few days, I cannot verify that for certain.

The only Russian RF camera to have framelines, as far as I can recall, is the motor-drive Leningrad.

The Jupiter 12 rear element is too big to use on my Bessa R and I never have tried one on my R2a.
On the Canons, I recall reading here at RFF that some folks were able to use some J-12s on their P cameras but also that some folks were not able to use the lens. Not sure about the Canon 7 or any other Canons. I believe the trouble with the Canon P is that there are internal baffles inside the camera that the rear of the J-12 contact, preventing full focus movement.

With the Bessa R camera, the rear element can hit the shutter and will also block the meter cell so the meter will not give correct readings.

Another option could be to get a Kiev mount J-12 and possibly use it on a Nikon RF camera? Not likely to be inexpensive and I don't know the Nikons well enough to say whether any of them had 35mm frame lines?

I like the J-12 quite a lot and just use it on my FED or Zorki cameras with an external finder. There are lots of options for 35mm external finders and it should be fairly easy to find something to use.

All my Jupiter-12 are silver version. All are too large to enter my Canon P, Canon 7, Canon L2, etc, and Bessa L, Bessa R4A.
I do have some external viewfinders.
But the question is: I have a lot of cameras with 35mm frameline, and a lot of Jupiter-12, but none of them fit.

my Black j12, somehow fit into leica IIIc, IIIf, M2, M3, RD1, and Hexar RF
i think it hit internal baffle on my friend's canon P.
If you really like j12, get the black one.
Mine from 1980 if i'm not wrong. I read somewhere that the black one fit bessa R, but need to directly check yourself with camera in Bulb and lens at infinity focus

Just sticking my head in for the first time in months to say that yes, the Leningrad does have a 35mm viewfinder. It's not a frameline and not marked, but it matches external 35mm viewfinders I have lying around, making it the only LTM FSU camera that doesn't need an external VF for that length. It's also got automatic parallax correction which is nice.

The big gotcha is that it's impossible to see with glasses on - I mean actually physically impossible to see, as a lot of people complain about viewfinders and glasses just because they don't get close enough to the VF. There's simply no way of doing it on the Leningrad. It's a very deep eyepiece at the back. And on top of that, it turns out they have a pretty severe fault involving a block in the rangefinder mechanism. Mine is cracked and supposedly irreparable, which breaks my heart.

Which reminds me - I found those screws out you sent me, Wolves. If I remember I'll put them in the mail for you on Monday. Could you PM your address to me? I don't think I have it anymore.

from what I read around, black Jupiter-12 from the 80s have more chances to fit in those cameras.
It seems to be a lottery since I read some silvers fit, but most success reports involve the newer black ones.
I searched about the subject before buying my 1986 Jupiter-12 to use on my digital X-E1 and it fits.
