35mm or 50mm

I was just going to reply and suggest a 35mm when I saw you purchased a 35mm already... and WHAT a 35mm it is! I often value lens speed over optical quality so the 35mm f/1.2 seriously interests me. When you're shooting film pushed to 1600 or 3200 with a lens like my 85mm f/1.4 Nikkor shot wide open just to get 1/30th shutter speeds, the last thing you usually need in that type of lighting is the ability to see individual hairs on a person's head across the room. That's why reviews about the 35mm f/1.2 not being as sharp as a lens like my 35mm f/2 Summicron bother me... oh well.

What I was going to say is that I own only two lenses for my Bessa R2 kit: A pre-ASPH 35mm f/2 Summicron and a Konica M-Hexanon 50mm f/2. I really like a 50mm's field of view and, logically, I feel as though that'd be my most-used lens with the rangefinder. Somehow though, through some unexplainable series of events, the 35mm ends up on it most of the time. I've taken more 'keeper' shots I enjoy with the 35mm as well. Weird.
