I'm always aware that I have a visual blind spot when it comes to the 35mm focal length, I'm comfortable with 24, 28, and longer lengths, but when I look at my 35mm shots, they're just lacking.

I'd managed to rationalise ignoring 35 as it's the "snapshot" focal length, and trying to pretend I was being all high minded and not wanting the same FoV as family snapshot photos etc. I'd decided that I'd much rather use 40mm instead as it's just different enough to feel different from those "snapshot" photos.

But if I'm being honest with myself, I was justifying my own inability to make a decent photo at 35mm.

I'm doing a lot of 40mm (SLR) and 35mm (Compact) shooting at the moment, just to try and get past my own block, but to ensure that I'm not just repeating a process that gets me results that I'm unimpressed with, I'd like to ask the RFF members to share some 35mm shots that they feel really work.

so please educate me RFF.
