Hello,
I have just received a new 35mm Summicron lens from a dealer.
The hood does not remove easily and has to be leveraged off.
The reason, I believe, is that one of the black buttons is jammed and does not move the pair of related internal metal clasps.
Am I right in thinking that each pair of clasps should respond when its button is pressed?
I don't imagine that this flaw effects the lens? Am I correct?
Another question... Is it normal to have some play (travel) beyond the f2 and f16 extremities of the aperture wheel? I can advance the wheel slightly beyond the f2 and f16 detente positions.
Thank you.
