35mm Summicron

Glad you took the time to explore and lucked upon someone who had the tools, know how and willingness to take care of your find.

Wow nice results. You should endorse the guy who recoated it for you and forward his name to DAG to do those repairs that were quoted unrepairable....

I see the Summicron attached to a M-4. What became of the M3? Was it in good shape?

The M3 was not in good shape. I let a repairman take a look at it and he found that one of the gears that is used to advance the film was missing teeth and said that it would likely fail very soon. But he said you can try to use the camera to see. I put a roll of film in it and on the 30ths shot I went o advance to the next frame and then boom it skipped and I had to advance it like 3 times to make it to the next frame. With that being said the repairman offered to straight up trade me for a CLA'd M4-2 which I did because the repair would of been about $450. I had that M4-2 for about a year and then sold it.

I of course still own the lens and will never sell it. It's currently on this
