365

Great shot ^^. Composition of the sides, the man with the cart, slight blurr, both just not exactly in the center and the door in the wall give a little more than nothing for the top of the frame w/o being distracting.

You just need to have a challenge ...see the results!

thanks!

attention ... I'm still not sure if it's a great shot because of the strong graphical dynamic and the peeking through into the other room or if it is "just" interesting. Maybe for a great shot some human element like a foot from a person leaving the frame would have made it perfect, just kidding...:D

closed ... extreme contrast of course with the light on the snow outside but I think the highlights are so overblown that it ruins the image.

Great going in your project, Joe.

thanks for the critique klaus...i'm not sure how to reply...or if a reply is even necessary...i need to think on it.

The sign becomes transparent due to the strong backlight from the brilliant white snow. That makes the photo for me.

I don't think great shots can be an intention of a 365 project. It's more about seeing and reacting every day, which is, in itself, a pretty good achievement. Maybe something stellar will come out of it, but a project like this seems more about process than results. And Joe seems in the flow.

If a kind of "random" shot makes me think "wow", that means something in my book. Not necessarly a great shot in history of photography that stands the test of time;) but that one draws me in, being part of the experience that Joe had when he viewed through that half circle window into the tile floor room. On top of that he mananged to get a graphic dynamic composition. In order not to sound too rosy, I was thinking of what if anything could have been even better...

From what he shared, Joe was kind of in a slump, struggeling to decide which bag to buy next:p and he has ventured into an ongoing project that not only keeps him going but obviously gets the dust off from his mental viewfinder and he comes up with really interesting shots. I like quite a few and am really happy for him that this seems to be going well.
