40/2.8 Heliar 5 elements 3 groups, lens head to be used with VM NEX Close up adapter. SUPER COMPACT, probably the smallest normal available for NEX cameras. 132 gram http://voigtlaender.de/40-mm-f-2,8-heliar.html

I have the lens -picked it up in Tokyo a week ago. It is a slightly tweaked formula and the barrel is similar to the 50mm f1.5 M-mount Nokton with the "vintage" style knurling - which I like as it is very easy to hold and turn. Mine is a 46mm filter size - but I also saw some with a 43 filter size. Indeed, it does go down to 9.5 m. I shot some stuff on 400 film at Haneda airport and I have been shooting 100 iso film with it here in Vancouver - but have yet to process those rolls. I like it - I always found the LTM version a bit "clumsy" to use with its tapered front, which made getting to the aperture ring a hassle.
The 40mm f2.8 is interesting, it is dedicated to be used on the VM-E close focus adapter - it does not have a helicoid ( a bit like Nikkor Rf lenses and Contax lenses of the past). Truly compact and "cute" (i know it is a lens - but that probably the best description of it.
The reworked 15mm f4.5 is now compatible with digital cameras. The older version worked fine, but some users complained about edge performance. The new one takes care of that. It can of course, still be used on a "film" camera without loss of performance.
I will work son some pictures of and with the 35mm f1.7 today.
There is also a 10.5mm f0.95 for the Micro 4/3 rd format. Big, but it is after all a f0.95 so the law of optical physics apply - you need big elements for that speed!

I'm guessing it will get a similar 1.5x price increase like the 1.5 Nokton.

Thanks, I edited my post.
For ALL NEX cameras, full frame or APS-C

The "group" shot in the Cosina board room was done with the new Nokton 10,5 mm F0.95. Tuulikki has been using the 17.5 f0.95 for years - but it was not wide enough for this shot.

Shoot.
I can't really understand why they'd release a 35 1.7 that's bigger than a 35 1.4. Optical differences, sure, but…

I merged two threads about the new lenses, and moved the original thread to RFF news.
both lenses have very different image criteria.
the new 35/1.7 is designed to be extremely sharp with great bokeh, like the 35/1.2 only smaller.
the 35/1.4 is designed to have the classic look of the pre-aspheric 35/1.4 Summilux - a great vintage look but not as sharp as the 35/1.2 or 35/1.7

The new Ultron 35mm f1.7 in chrome with 46mm filter size - compared to the old 35mm f1.7 in black.

I did put the black Ultron 35mm f1.7 ltm on a chrome M2 and the chrome M-mount Ultron on a black M2. They are 35mm lenses and for me that usually means M2's.
The new lens is bigger than the old one, but considerably more comfortable in the "hand" The old style knurling of the focus ring is more secure and the aperture ring is much easier to use.

Will the lens have 43 or 46mm size? I have to say the 46 does look better.

I had a choice of the 43 and 46mm front ring - and I agree, the 46 looks better.

Sucks that the 40/2.8 isn't LTM mount. I so wish that they would go back to LTM + adapters, as the lack of mount flexibility kills it for me.

who besides Tom A knows what is in Mr. K's imagination?
It may be in the future, time will tell.

Do you have any screenshots of 15mm?
What it means the edges were corrected? Has the formula remained the same?

Voigtlander Ultron 35mm f1.7 M-mount. I had to be careful with this lens, it was not officially "out" - and, trust me, in Japan people can spot a new piece of equipment from 2 blocks away and make a bee-line for you. I figured out I would be safe in Hanedas departure lounge which was pretty empty. Of course, the only other smoker in the nicely outfitted "lounge" was a M8 user!!! The good thing was that the light is low and "moody" in lounge - as well as thick with smoke, so never spotted it!
Leica MP. 0.58, Arista Premium 400, Rodinal 1:60 for 11.5 min. This is at f1.7 - as in the order to save energy bot air-cons and lights are set on low. Probably 1/15s too.

new formula, especially recomputed and corrected for digital cameras for better color rendition - aka M240, M9 etc
