50 elmar m on the rd1 - got pics?

a bit off point...i understand the elmar should not be collapsed into the rd1, is this correct?

Better avoid it as the Elmar's 'tube' hits more or less slightly the roller cam of the body.

I find that my 1960s dual-scale Elmar 50/2.8 in M-mount collapses safely on the R-D1.

But I've been told that that's the only one that does -- the various M and LTM 50/3.5 versions as well as the modern Elmar-M 50/2.8 all risk encountering the cam roller, light baffles, etc. on the R-D1 and other non-Leica M cameras.

No this one is the first new Elmar. Was sold with the M6J in 1994.

i am still looking forward to the arrival of my elmar m lens...it is now day 3 sitting in canadian customs...and the worst part is that they will probably charge me a storage fee

Interested to see what you can do with it

I had to pay a 17 Euro administrative fee on top of Custom Duties for my last Toy to come from the USA. The Dutch postal services are bunch of greedy bar-stewards!
