50mm AA

I have a fairly modest collection compared to most of you guys.

Two Olympus 50/1.8

Two Olympus 50/1.4

One Olympus 50/2 Macro

Nikon AF-Nikkor 50/1.4

Minolta MC-Rokkor 50/1.7

Seagull 50/2 came with a Chinese Seagull DF-1 SLR. I actually like this lens a lot, wish it was in Nikon or OM mount instead of Minolta mount.

Industar-50 f3.5 collapsible for LTM

CV 50/1.5 Nokton

Pentax Screwmount 50/1.4 Super Takumar

Mamiya 55/2.8N for the 645 system

Hasselblad 50/4 CF-FLE Distagon

I have about 17 50s, but they're all over the place now, lending to friends and stuff, so I'll take pics later ;) Meanwhile you guys can count my sigs for Leica 50s

Here are: Summilux-M v.1, Summilux Asph, Summicron-M actual,
Summar from 1950, Summarit SM, Canon Serenar f/1,8 v.1, Summicron-M from 1959 and
Summicron-DR

Zeiss Sonnar ZM is sold and two more 50's are for sale

I don't understand ... confess? As in ... there is a problem?

Oh, I dont think I have a problem! It is the "outside" world who sees it as a problem. I can easily rationalize all of them. OK, maybe not easily - but if I work on it I could!

I love your avatar, is that the famous BROTHERLY kiss between Leonid Brezhnev and Erich Honecker ?

I tried that reasoning on my wife, referencing her fondness for purses and tote bags. As soon as I am released from intensive care, I'll let you know how that worked for me.

Guess I'm a fully fledged member of 50mmOHOLICs ANONYMOUS too

I don't need a cure as I'm still in single digit territory :D But 10 or more like Marek, now that's starting to get a bit obsessive  :p

The lenses are not as sexy as your camera bodies...:p

We were at the Sports Authority looking for women's sneakers. The man who helped us said he owned 323 (yes 323) sneakers. A voice came from above, another young man on a ladder said he had 250. These men are in their early 20's, and they have a relative fortune in casual shoes.

Some coping mechanisms have gone too far!

My God. How many Leicas would that buy? These men own shoes that probably cost over $200 a pair and they own damn near enough to wear a different pair every day of the year...and they work crappy retail jobs that probably pay $7 an hour. Where the hell are they finding the money for this? I've had jobs like that, they pay so little you can barely eat let alone buy 300 pairs of shoes! Must get a hell of an employee discount is all i can say....

Chris: where's the Zuiko 50/3.5 macro? I have an extra that needs CLA if you're interested.

And of course taking photo's of subjects near and dear helps out.

1953 J-3, wide-open. Rebuilt this one, makes up for the one that I sold to Gabriel.

Hmm, had not added them up before; the number is 24. Three Jupiters, a Leitz enlarging lens, a Nikkor-S, a 1.8 Zuiko, 12 Pentax (1 for Auto 110), 2 CV and 4 Zeiss (2 ZM, 1 ZK, 1 Contax/Opton).

If you count my SLRs, I've got 7. Funny thing is, I wasn't really a fan of 50mm until recently, now it seems like it's all I want to use.

I never got around to getting the 3.5 Macro. Several years ago I got an awesome deal on the much more expensive 50mm f2 Macro. I think I paid about $200 for it at a time when it regularly went for over $500 used. Mine was used but in mint condition. Looked like new!

I've seen some good deals on ebay for the f3.5 but never bit....it was always when I was broke that I'd see one and I had the f2 so I never made an effort to get one. Have always wanted to try one though. How much do you want for it?
